Fans have been treated to the official trailer of “American Dream: The 21 Savage Story,” signaling a new chapter in the career of the Grammy-winning rapper.
The trailer, released just hours after a poster featuring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin with 21 Savage’s signature forehead dagger tattoo, provides a glimpse into the artist’s life and career.
The four-minute trailer unveils a fresh 21 Savage track, featuring a catchy hook with the Grammy winner rapping, “My shooter pescatarian but he eat up all the beef.”
Against the backdrop of this new music, the trailer introduces Glover and McLaughlin portraying 21 Savage at different stages of his life.
A young 21 is told, “These people, they think we’re savages. Remember the wishing star. Whenever you feel lost, just remember I’m looking up at that same star. That star is your dream, and they can never take it.”

The film, written by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, hints at an Independence Day theatrical release, with “music inspired by the film” scheduled for January 12.
While the trailer provides an enticing glimpse into 21 Savage’s life, it remains to be seen whether “American Dream” will take the form of a traditional biopic or serve as an immersive visual experience designed to bring a new album to life.
