In a move that signals Kanye West’s return to Instagram, the rapper posted a black and white photo on his Instagram Stories, stirring up further controversy.
The image features a young model donning a t-shirt displaying the cover art for “Vultures,” West’s forthcoming collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign.
The Instagram Story appears to be a screenshot from a post by the controversial Russian fashion designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, who recently joined Yeezy as the Head of Design. Rubchinskiy’s association with West raised eyebrows earlier this month due to the designer’s history of controversy.
This singular photo is the only content shared on West’s Instagram page since his quiet reactivation on December 17.
The rapper, who had been absent from the platform for over a year, made headlines when he announced Rubchinskiy’s role in the Yeezy team.

YEEZY’s official statement welcomed Rubchinskiy as the new Head of Design, describing his arrival as a “milestone in design history” for the renowned brand in music and fashion. Ye’s tweet included a link to his news platform, Yews, which marked his return to Twitter after a suspension.
Rubchinskiy, once acclaimed in the fashion world, has faced his share of controversy, including accusations of soliciting explicit content from a 16-year-old in 2018.
The designer denied the allegations, attributing them to doctored screenshots.
The Vultures album cover, designed by Rubchinskiy, has also been met with criticism for perceived links to Nazism.
The artwork features an image by German painter Caspar David Friedrich, known to be favored by Hitler, and includes a typeface reminiscent of that used by a neo-Nazi metal band, Burzum.
