The ongoing feud between Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj has reportedly taken a disturbing turn, as police have been called in to protect the gravesite of Megan’s late mother, Holly Thomas.
According to TMZ, the alleged doxxing by Minaj’s fanbase prompted the heightened security measures.
Thomas, who tragically passed away from brain cancer in 2019, was laid to rest just south of Houston, Texas.
Concerns arose after the cemetery received information that the location of Thomas’ burial site was leaked on social media by some members of Minaj’s fanbase, known as the Barbz. This prompted fears of potential vandalism or desecration of the gravesite.
The cemetery, taking the matter seriously, has notified local authorities and bolstered security personnel to monitor the facility closely.
While no incidents have occurred at the gravesite yet, the cemetery remains on high alert due to the escalating tensions between the two rap superstars.
Megan and Nicki initially crossed paths when they collaborated on Megan’s 2019 single “Hot Girl Summer.” However, the nature and timing of their falling out remain unclear. Some speculate that Megan’s collaboration with Cardi B on “WAP” may have contributed to the rift, given the history of tensions between Minaj and Cardi.
Minaj has hinted at the discord through her music, with veiled references in songs like “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” and a freestyle track called “For All the Barbz.” The release of Megan’s latest track, “Hiss,” further fueled the feud, with lyrics perceived as targeting Minaj and her husband, Kenneth “Zoo” Petty, a registered sex offender.
In response, Minaj unleashed her own diss track, “Big Foot,” and launched verbal attacks against Megan on various social media platforms.
