The bond between hip-hop icon Drake and NBA sensation LaMelo Ball was on full display as Ball presented a heartfelt gift to Drake’s six-year-old son, Adonis Graham, before the Charlotte Hornets’ game against the Toronto Raptors on Saturday (March 2).
In a heartwarming moment captured on the Hornets’ Instagram account, Ball could be seen approaching Adonis, exchanging handshakes, and presenting him with a signed Hornets jersey.
“What’s up Adonis. You good?” Ball greeted the young fan before offering him the special gift. “I got a little present for you, man. Little little something something. Little jersey gang,” he added.
The video concluded with Ball inviting Adonis to take a selfie together, cementing the memorable interaction between the NBA star and Drake’s son.

The friendship between Ball and Adonis traces back to 2023 when Adonis showcased his admiration for the basketball star by sketching a portrait of him, which Drake later shared on social media.
Touched by the gesture, Ball reciprocated by sending Adonis a pair of his signature Puma shoes, solidifying their connection.
Meanwhile, Drake has been actively nurturing Adonis’s passion for basketball, envisioning a bright future for his son in the sport. In January, the proud father took to Instagram to share snapshots of Adonis playing basketball, expressing his belief that he would one day witness his son being drafted into the NBA.
“Leaving these here until the 2036 draft,” Drake captioned the photos, showcasing his unwavering support for Adonis’s dreams.
