Playboi Carti unveiled his latest track, “Ketamine,” accompanied by a captivating music video on his Instagram platform.
The announcement of the release came on Tuesday evening, notably without the familiar presence of Blackhaine, the British artist known for assisting Carti in teasing releases.
However, filling the void, the artist formerly known as Kanye West stepped in, sharing the song’s teaser on his Instagram Stories. Despite briefly sharing it on his profile, Ye swiftly removed the post.
Fans have been eagerly anticipating new music from Playboi Carti since his last full studio album, 2020’s “Whole Lotta Red.”

The anticipation has been especially high for his upcoming project titled “Music.” Kanye West co-produced Carti’s December comeback track “2024,” in which he also made a cameo appearance.
Since then, the 27-year-old rapper has treated fans to tracks like “H00DBYAIR,” “BACKR00MS” featuring Travis Scott, and the most recent release in January, “EVILJ0RDAN.”
Carti’s collaboration on “Carnival” from Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s joint album, Vultures 1, further elevated his profile.
The track officially claimed the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on Monday, ascending from its previous position at No. 2.
According to Complex’s Joe Price, this achievement marks Ye’s fifth overall No. 1 and Ty Dolla Sign’s second.
