Kendrick Lamar has unleashed a scorching retaliation against Drake with his latest diss track “Euphoria,” leaving no stone unturned in his blistering attack.
Released unexpectedly on Tuesday (April 30), the track sees the Compton rapper taking aim at his longtime rival for recent jabs taken on “Push Ups” and “Taylor Made Freestyle.”
In “Euphoria,” K. Dot pulls no punches, launching into a verbal onslaught against Drake. He begins by accusing Drake of being a “pathetic master manipulator” and suggests that he fabricates stories about his family to manipulate public perception.
The song delves into Drake’s biracial identity, with Kendrick suggesting that Drake’s attempts to be accepted as a rap artist are disingenuous. He also takes a dig at Drake’s fashion choices, contrasting his own authenticity with what he perceives as Drake’s desire for acceptance.
Throughout the track, Kendrick makes references to Drake’s music, his personal life, and even his rumored team of ghostwriters. He questions Drake’s authenticity and takes aim at his relationship with his son, Adonis.
The diss track escalates in intensity as Kendrick addresses Drake’s alleged request for a collaboration and his association with other artists. He challenges Drake’s use of the word “n-gga” and questions his commitment to the culture.
In a particularly cutting line, Kendrick warns Drake, “We don’t wanna hear you say n-gga no more,” signaling his final rebuke in the ongoing feud.
Drake had recently fired back at Kendrick with his own diss track, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which featured computer-generated voices of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg alongside his own lyrics. However, Kendrick’s response in “Euphoria” suggests that the feud between the two artists is far from over.
