Megan Thee Stallion encountered a setback that every artist dreads: the need to postpone a show not once, but twice.
Anticipation was high for her highly awaited tour stop in Atlanta, originally slated for Friday, May 31.
However, unforeseen circumstances, including multiple water main breaks in the city, forced the cancellation of the event.
Organizers swiftly rescheduled the show for Saturday, June 1, offering fans a glimmer of hope. Yet, the excitement was short-lived, as the stadium show has now been tentatively moved to Sunday.
“We will keep fans informed of any updates to the performances this weekend,” State Farm Arena assured concert-goers.
“We encourage patrons to look at State Farm Arena’s social media pages for the most current information.”
The water main breaks have reportedly left many residents in the city without access to water, exacerbating the situation.
Megan Thee Stallion had promised a “huge surprise” for her Atlanta tour stop, adding to the disappointment of the postponements.
Nevertheless, in an attempt to appease fans on the second consecutive night of cancellations, the “HISS” rapper shared footage of her soundcheck, offering a glimpse of what could have been.
Expressing her frustration, Megan took to Instagram Live to vent her feelings.
As a devoted fan of the Real Housewives franchise, she even reached out to stars Nene Leakes and Porsha Williams for assistance in resolving the debacle, showcasing her determination to salvage the situation.
