In a dramatic double elimination on Dancing With the Stars, Tori Spelling and Anna Delvey took their final bows on September 24, becoming the first contestants to leave season 33 of the competition. Hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro expressed their gratitude to the dancers and their professional partners, Pasha Pashkov and Ezra Sosa, as the pair bid farewell to their dreams of winning the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Reflecting on her experience, Tori described her journey as “unbelievable” and encouraged her children from the dance floor, proclaiming, “You can do anything you put your mind to.” Meanwhile, Anna humorously remarked that she was taking “nothing” away from the experience. The judges—Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli—offered a final round of applause to the eliminated stars.
The eliminations followed a spectacular themed performance night celebrating Oscar-winning films. Football player Danny Amendola and his partner Witney Carson channeled Top Gun as they soared across the dance floor to Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone.” Athlete Dwight Howard showcased his nimbleness with pro Daniella Karagach, dancing to “City of Stars.”
Bachelor Nation’s Joey Graziadei and partner Jenna Johnson infused passion into their performance with “Shallow” from A Star Is Born, while Bachelorette alum Jenn Tran and partner Sasha Farber brought party vibes with a dance to a number from The Great Gatsby. Con artist Anna continued her trend of blinged-out ankle monitors while dancing to KT Tunstall’s “Suddenly I See” from The Devil Wears Prada.
Olympian Ilona Maher and pro Alan Bersten lit up the dance floor with a salsa to “(I’ve Had) the Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing, while gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and partner Rylee Arnold embraced a superhero theme with their performance. However, it was Chandler Kinney and pro Brandon Armstrong who stole the spotlight, earning the highest combined judges’ scores with an impressive 47 for both weeks.
