Halloween has arrived, and with it, two guarantees: the sweet stash running dry and social media bursting with celebrity costumes.
Here’s a round-up of some standout looks this season.
Heidi Klum, famous for her annual Halloween bash and impressive costumes, didn’t disappoint.
For the 23rd year of her event, Klum and her husband, German guitarist Tom Kaulitz, transformed into E.T., complete with a glowing finger and Klum’s blonde wig styled to match her own.
Klum wasn’t the only E.T. this year—Janelle Monáe also embraced the iconic alien for her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Known for her elaborate Halloween costumes, Monáe shared her joy for the holiday, saying, “Halloween is heart work, not hard work… it’s how I bring joy.”
Lupita Nyong’o opted for Broadway instead of trick-or-treating but kept the Halloween spirit alive with a ghostly wig and eerie contacts for opening night in New York City.
In London, Jonathan Ross entertained trick-or-treaters, handing out sweets from his festively decorated home.
And Pixie Lott served up thirst-quenching fun, embodying an Aperol Spritz with an orange slice hat to complete her look.
Hosting her own party, Maya Jama went for a Beetlejuice-inspired costume with a twist, embodying “Beetlejuice’s unruly niece” in a monochrome suit and vibrant green hair.
Meanwhile, Amelia Dimoldenberg threw it back to Monsters, Inc., dressing as Roz, the grumpy office worker from the Pixar classic—a bold choice from the 2001 archives.
Lizzo made headlines with a timely costume as a parody of a weight-loss drug from a recent South Park episode, which playfully took on the body-positivity conversation surrounding her.
Her costume also responded to speculation over her recent weight loss, which she’s attributed to dedicated training.
Ed Sheeran tapped into meme culture, dressing up as himself in a monkey costume, mimicking a viral AI image.
With his photo captioned, “Haters will say it’s AI,” Sheeran leaned into the humor with the hashtag #FeltCuteMightDeleteLater.
Nostalgia is always in fashion for Halloween, and Paris Hilton took us back to the ’90s as Mia Wallace from Pulp Fiction, Uma Thurman’s unforgettable character in the 1994 cult classic.
Finally, Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco went down the rabbit hole together, channeling Alice in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter in a whimsical nod to the beloved story.
