A collection of artwork created for iconic rock band Radiohead will be showcased at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford in a multi-media exhibition titled This Is What You Get.
Running from August 2025 to January 2026, the display will include album covers, sketches, and notebooks by artist Stanley Donwood and the band’s lead singer Thom Yorke, many of which have never been shown publicly before.
Radiohead, formed at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire in 1985, are celebrated for hits such as Creep, Paranoid Android, and No Surprises.
The exhibition, featuring over 120 works, aims to explore the intricate connection between visual art and music.
Stanley Donwood, whose real name is Dan Rickwood, has collaborated with Yorke on Radiohead’s cover art and other music projects since their time together at the University of Exeter.
Speaking about their creative process, Yorke has described Donwood’s ability to interpret his ideas as “mind-blowing.”
One of Donwood’s most notable pieces, the limited-edition CD case for Radiohead’s Amnesiac, which resembled a lost library book, won the Grammy Award for Best Recording Package in 2001.
The Ashmolean, part of the University of Oxford, will host the exhibition, celebrating the fusion of music and visual art that has defined much of Radiohead’s legacy.
