London-based singer-songwriter Kelli-Leigh Henry-Davila, aka Kelli-Leigh premiered a new song “Never Dance Again” on BBC Radio 1’s Party Anthems with Matt and Mollie.
The track was written by Kelli-Leigh Henry-Davila, Liam J Dowell and Ollie Marsland. Produced by Liam J Dowell and Lee Tyler.
The song is her first release as an independent artist.
Kelli-Leigh shared on social media, “I sent ‘Never Dance Again’ to A&Rs & got no reply, one label said it wasn’t good enough & today I landed on playlist slots higher than signed releases & had awesome Day 1 radio support. You never know what can happen in music but todays support as an independent has been epic.
She continued, “I’m back in the release saddle and excited to have another piece of me out in the world. Another record in the journey of my music, development as an artist & growth as a label & I feel strong.”
She has already filmed a music video for the song, which premiere next week. Directed by Kelli-Leigh herself.
She said of the video, “I edited the video for ‘Never Dance Again’ directed & edited by me which I shot last Tuesday in about 5hrs! T’was really interesting seeing the vision in my head come together on a very small independent artists budget. It felt very creative!”
