Adele has announced that she’s planning a significant break from music after her upcoming shows in Las Vegas.
The 36-year-old singer made this revelation during her final performance in Munich on August 31, telling fans she needs time to focus on her personal life.
In an emotional speech, Adele shared: “I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now.” She explained that after performing non-stop for nearly three years, she feels ready to step away from the stage and enjoy the life she’s created.
“I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for the whole length of my break.”
Earlier this month, during a concert in Munich, Adele hinted that she might be engaged to Rich Paul. When a fan playfully proposed to her on stage, Adele responded: “I can’t marry you, I’m already getting married,” sparking speculation about her relationship status.
Adele’s recent residency in Las Vegas also brought up her future plans. During a gender reveal event for two fans, she revealed her desire to have a child once her touring is complete. She shared her wish to have a baby girl, saying, “I want to have a girl because I’ve already got a boy.”
She humorously predicted that her future daughter might be quite the handful, saying, “She’s going to put me in my place all the time, isn’t she?” Adele also joked about her daughter’s potential personality, speculating, “With me as her mother and Rich as her father, my daughter’s going to be a bossy little queen, isn’t she?”
