Social media erupted as Akademiks, the divisive media personality, flaunted his latest acquisition, a Maybach, while boasting about his influence over the rap industry and taunting artists whose careers he claims to have “killed.”
In a video shared on Friday (March 22), Akademiks showcased his new luxury car, dubbing himself “Pandademiks” and asserting his dominance in the rap media landscape.
“Stop playing, man. New purchase. I needed something to celebrate violating these rappers. Killing their careers. Running the rap game in terms of media, living life, being successful. Being Big Ak. What’s the problem?” he exclaimed in the video.
Adding insult to injury, Akademiks announced he was hiring a driver and invited rappers whose careers he believes he ended, along with other podcasters he deems inferior, to apply for the position.
The media figure’s penchant for stirring up controversy extends beyond his flashy new car, as he has been embroiled in conflicts with several prominent artists.
Akademiks has clashed with Meek Mill, Freddie Gibbs, and Yung Miami in 2024 alone.
Meek Mill recently made headlines by publicly blocking Akademiks on social media, following a series of heated exchanges between the two. Akademiks responded by taunting Meek, claiming victory in their online skirmish.
Meanwhile, tensions between Akademiks and Yung Miami escalated after the rapper disparaged him in a song, reigniting their longstanding feud. Similarly, Akademiks’ feud with Freddie Gibbs dates back years, marked by insults and threats exchanged between the two.
Gibbs further escalated the conflict by threatening violence against Akademiks in a recent verse on ScHoolboy Q’s album, “oHio,” referring to him as a “pussy n-gga” and vowing legal action if they were to cross paths.
