The move to create her tea line was reportedly inspired by a heartfelt gift from her husband, Swizz Beatz.
According to TMZ, Alicia Keys’ company, Alicia Worldwide, has filed a trademark for “Alicia Teas,” signaling her intent to launch her tea brand in the near future, aiming to introduce innovation to the beverage market.
Swizz Beatz, a celebrated music producer known for his work with Ruff Ryders, played a pivotal role in encouraging Alicia Keys to embark on this entrepreneurial venture. In 2020, Swizz Beatz gifted his wife a collection of tea bags featuring her name for her birthday.
He also expressed his belief that the brand would eventually be available in Starbucks locations worldwide.
During an after-party for the Grammy Awards, which Alicia Keys hosted in 2020, Swizz Beatz presented the tea bags as a birthday surprise.
“Happy birthday, we got an endless amount of teas, and everybody in Starbucks around the world, you’re gonna see Alicia Teas,” He confidently stated.
His thoughtful gesture and bold vision planted the seeds for what is now Alicia’s venture into the tea industry.
