Ariana Grande’s highly anticipated seventh studio album, “Eternal Sunshine,” has made its debut, catching fans off guard with its unexpected arrival.
During a recent appearance on the Zach Sang Show, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter revealed that the project came together in an unforeseen manner.
Grande explained that she hadn’t initially planned to release an album, especially not before the completion of her involvement in the screen adaptation of “Wicked.”
However, the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, which halted production on the adaptation, provided her with unexpected free time.
Seizing the opportunity, Grande headed to New York City and found herself in the recording studio, where she was joined by the legendary producer Max Martin
“As soon as the strike began, I came to New York. Max Martin came to New York to spend a week with me at Jungle City Studios, and it all just kind of started pouring out,” Grande said.
The 30-year-old artist continued to express how the songs on the album were born from raw emotion, some even bringing her to tears during the writing process.
Despite the deeply personal nature of the tracks, Grande emphasized that she hadn’t initially intended for them to be heard by the world.

Other titles include “Don’t Wanna Break Up Again,” “The Boy Is Mine,” and “I Wish I Hated You,” alongside previously released singles like “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).”
“Eternal Sunshine” marks Grande’s first studio album release in over three years since her fifth studio album, “Positions.” The album is now available for streaming on major platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, much to the delight of Grande’s dedicated fanbase.
