Lake’s musical journey commenced with a remarkable crowdfunding initiative in 2015, paving the way for the triumphant creation of his inaugural studio album, “Closer,” released independently in 2016.
In January 2019, Lake marked a significant milestone by joining forces with Bethel Music. His introduction to the record label was highlighted by his rendition of Tasha Cobbs Leonard’s acclaimed track, “This Is a Move.” Notably, Lake’s involvement as a songwriter for this piece earned him the distinguished GMA Dove Award for Gospel Worship Recorded Song of the Year in the 2019 GMA Dove Awards.
