Feid, born Salomón Villada Hoyos on August 19, 1992, in Medellín, Colombia, is a singer and songwriter who has worked with several well-known artists such as J Balvin, Sebastián Yatra, Manuel Turizo, Maluma, and Karol G.
Feid’s interest in music began in his childhood when he learned to play the clarinet. He later abandoned the clarinet to focus on singing, and he took singing classes in college. He also sang in the college choir and at college parties, birthday parties, and reunions.
Feid’s musical style is a blend of reggaeton, hip-hop, and R&B. He cites Drake, T-Pain, and Chris Brown as some of his influences. He chose to focus on reggaeton because he felt that it was more popular with younger generations.
Feid has recently collaborated with several well-known artists, including J Balvin and Sebastián Yatra. He also helped write the popular reggaeton song “Ginza” by J Balvin.
In July 2020, Feid released the song “Dorado”, in which he collaborated with Italian musicians Mahmood and Sfera Ebbasta.
