GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was born on July 28, 1999, in Memphis, Tennessee. She’s a rising American rapper who made waves in the music scene with her 2022 hit song “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” a collaboration with Hitkidd.
This track earned her a well-deserved nomination for Best Rap Performance at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. Another one of her singles, “Tomorrow 2” in partnership with Cardi B, even secured a spot in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Notably, her single “Blessed” from her EP titled “Anyways, Life’s Great” received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). In 2023, she joined forces with Moneybagg Yo for the track “On Wat U On.”
Early Life
Gloria’s journey began in Memphis on July 28, 1999. She spent her early years being homeschooled until the 5th grade. Later, she graduated from Martin Luther King College Prep High School. Her passion for music ignited at the age of 16 when she delved into the world of rap. Interestingly, Gloria initially aspired to be a singer due to her involvement in her church’s choir. However, after facing challenges with her vocal cords, she shifted her focus to rap. It’s worth mentioning that her stage name “GloRilla” was ingeniously suggested by her cousin. She’s the eighth child out of ten on her mother’s side.
Career
GloRilla embarked on her music career with the release of her mixtape “Most Likely Up Next” in 2019, followed by her EP “P Status” in 2020.

The unfortunate incident resulted in three fatalities and injuries to seven people. The stampede was triggered by a false alarm of gunshots as the audience was leaving the venue. Nevertheless, in June, GloRilla’s career continued to ascend as she earned a spot in the 2023 XXL Freshmen Class.
