Lincoln Brewster, an accomplished American contemporary Christian musician and worship pastor, has had a remarkable musical journey since his early days in Homer, Alaska. Born on July 30, 1971, Brewster displayed musical talent from a young age, mastering instruments like the mandolin and drum set. At the age of 12, he formed a band named Lincoln and the Missing Links, which included his mother on bass and vocals.
After moving to Modesto, California, Brewster continued to explore his musical passion, becoming part of the high school jazz band and marching band. Despite receiving recording contract offers at the age of 19, he felt a spiritual emptiness in his life. However, after attending church services with his high school sweetheart, Laura, he experienced a transformative encounter with God, leading him away from the record deal.
Later, Steve Perry invited Brewster to audition as the lead guitarist for his solo project, and he joined Perry for a six-month tour. Eventually, Brewster settled in California and served as an associate music director and youth worship leader at Calvary Temple Church. He then moved to Nashville with his wife to serve as youth pastors and music ministers at The Oasis Church.
In 2001, Brewster returned to California and became the worship pastor at Bayside Church in Sacramento. He signed with Integrity’s Vertical Music label, releasing multiple albums showcasing his diverse talents, including vocals, guitar, and songwriting. Some of his notable works include the albums “Today Is the Day” (2008), “Real Life” (2010), and “Oxygen” (2014).
Brewster’s versatility is evident in his repertoire, ranging from contemporary worship tracks like “Best Days” and “Reaching For You” to more reflective songs like “Real Life.” He even ventured into producing a Christmas album, “Joy to the World” (2012).
Throughout the years, Brewster continued to surprise his fans with new releases, including “God of the Impossible” (2018), “A Mostly Acoustic Christmas” (2019), and “Perfect Love” (2021).
