Ben Platt is officially off the market! The Pitch Perfect star married his longtime partner, Noah Galvin, in a stunning New York City wedding over the weekend, and the festivities were nothing short of magical. The couple celebrated with friends and family across Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, making it a weekend to remember.
In an interview with Vogue published on September 4, Ben shared the couple’s vision for their big day. “Our greatest hope was to give everyone a joyful, low-stress weekend full of warmth and a window into our relationship and the life that we are building,” Ben revealed. “And we wanted the dancing to go off. We feel that all missions were accomplished!”
And when it came to wedding day fashion, the duo did not disappoint. The pair, both 30, coordinated their outfits with style, rocking all-white Thom Browne suits for their Shabbat welcome dinner at the Angel Orensanz Foundation. When it was time for the ceremony, Ben and Noah stood at the altar in custom, lace-collared bridal-inspired shirts designed by Arel Studio, paired with chic white trousers. Talk about a fashion statement!
But while the wedding was a dream come true, Noah is even more excited about their future together. “We are still floating,” he told Vogue. “And mostly we’re happy we get to keep hanging out forever.”
Ben and Noah’s love story began long before they tied the knot. The pair went from friends to lovers in January 2020, three years after Noah took over the role of Evan Hansen in the Broadway hit Dear Evan Hansen, following in Ben’s footsteps. As Ben explained during a 2021 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the transition from friendship to romance was swift and intense.
“We’d been friends for like five years and right before the pandemic we finally decided to, like, really give it a real shot,” Ben shared. “We’d kind of skated around it for a long time. And then it was like zero to 60.”
It wasn’t long before the couple went public with their relationship. In fact, Noah spilled the beans during a May 2020 episode of the Little Known Facts podcast, with Ben’s blessing. “I asked him this morning, I was like, ‘Are we allowed to talk about this?'” Noah recalled. “And he’s like, ‘Don’t go into our nitty gritty, but yeah, people can know.’ It’s still relatively new.”
Now, two years after their engagement, Ben and Noah have officially sealed the deal—and it looks like their happily ever after is just beginning!
