Beyoncé and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter stepped out in style to support Jay-Z at the Mufasa: The Lion King premiere on December 9 in Los Angeles.
The mother-daughter duo joined the rapper alongside matriarch Tina Knowles for the red-carpet event.
Beyoncé dazzled in a plunging black gown adorned with metallic gold polka dots and a high slit, while Blue Ivy, 12, coordinated beautifully in a bronze strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline.
At one point, Blue posed solo, receiving a helping hand from her grandmother, Tina, who fluffed her dress while her parents proudly watched.
Later, Beyoncé celebrated her daughter’s achievement on Instagram, writing:
“My gorgeous baby girl. This is your night. You worked hard and you did such a beautiful job as the voice of Kiara. Your family could not be prouder. Keep shining.”
Blue Ivy lends her voice to Kiara in the Lion King prequel, making the night extra special for the family.
The family’s public appearance came just days after Jay-Z, 55, was hit with a civil lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a teenage girl in 2000.
Jay-Z has categorically denied the allegations, calling them “idiotic claims” in a December 8 statement.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one,” he stated.
“Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?”
Jay-Z expressed deep concern for how the allegations could affect his family, particularly his children.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he said.
“We will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people.”
He has since filed a motion requesting that the accuser, currently identified as “Jane Doe,” reveal her name.
In response, the accuser’s attorney Tony Buzbee—who has also filed sexual assault lawsuits against Diddy, who denies all allegations—dismissed claims that the lawsuit was financially motivated.
“We will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media,” Buzbee said in a statement to E! News on December 8.
As the legal proceedings unfold, Jay-Z and his family continue to navigate both public appearances and personal challenges with resilience.
