Beyoncé sent shockwaves through the industry by revealing that a new album was in the works last month. Now, she has officially disclosed the title of the highly anticipated project.
Titled “Cowboy Carter,” the album is slated for release on March 29, a date previously shared by the artist herself.
The revelation came via Beyoncé’s official website, which updated earlier today (March 12) to unveil the album’s name alongside an intriguing visual depiction.
The imagery features a brown saddle adorned with silver accents, draped with a vibrant red, white, and blue state fair-style banner bearing the words “Cowboy Carter.”
While this image is not confirmed as the album cover by Beyoncé’s publicist, it serves as a tantalizing glimpse into the aesthetic of the forthcoming collection.
With “Cowboy Carter,” Beyoncé ventures into uncharted territory, embracing a pure country sound for the first time in her illustrious career.
While she has previously experimented with country influences, notably with the track “Daddy Lessons” from her “Lemonade” project, this album marks her first dedicated exploration of the genre.

Previously referred to by fans and even Beyoncé herself as “Act II,” the official unveiling of “Cowboy Carter” confirms the album’s title, dispelling any uncertainty surrounding its name.
The album’s country-infused direction was hinted at during Super Bowl Sunday, when Beyoncé dropped two new singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.”
Of the two tracks, “Texas Hold ‘Em” emerged as the standout hit, debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 before ascending to the top spot, marking Beyoncé’s thirteenth career chart-topper.
“Cowboy Carter” follows in the footsteps of Beyoncé’s 2022 release, “Renaissance,” which saw her exploring electronic dance and house music to critical and commercial acclaim.
