Beyoncé’s childhood home in Houston’s Third Ward was ravaged by a fire that ignited around 2 a.m., as reported by ABC 13.
The Houston Fire Department received an emergency call, and firefighters quickly responded to the scene, though the second floor was already engulfed in flames upon their arrival.
The family currently residing in the historic home, including children, was present during the incident but fortunately escaped without any injuries. The family was reportedly in their holiday pajamas at the time of the fire outbreak.
District Chief Justin Barnes commended the firefighters for their swift response, stating, “They did a great job. I’m going to say in less than 10 minutes, we had a really good grip on this fire.”
The cause of the fire remains unclear, and investigations are ongoing.

Although Beyoncé and her family haven’t lived in the home for decades, it remains a significant historical landmark cherished by fans.

During the visit, Beyoncé also explored other nostalgic places from her childhood, such as the renowned chicken spot Frenchy’s and the Riverside Terrace Third Ward sign, sharing a picture that went viral.
