The cause of death for Bobbie Jean Carter, sister of singers Nick Carter and the late Aaron Carter, has been disclosed following her untimely passing on December 23, 2023, at the age of 41.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ shed light on the circumstances surrounding Carter’s demise, indicating that she fell victim to a fatal drug overdose at her residence in Tampa, Florida.
According to the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner, Carter’s death has been deemed accidental, attributed to a lethal combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
Reports suggest that Carter was discovered unresponsive in her bathroom by her roommate, who promptly alerted emergency services.
Despite their efforts to revive her, Carter could not be resuscitated, and she was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after 8:00 a.m. that morning.
The tragic incident marks a devastating loss for the Carter family, who have endured multiple hardships in recent years.
Bobbie Jean Carter, known for her role as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist on Aaron Carter’s tours in the early 2000s, also appeared alongside her siblings on the family’s reality show “House of Carters.”
“It may take a lifetime to fully process the loss my family has endured over the years – most recently, with the sudden passing of our sister Bobbie Jean,” Nick Carter wrote on X last month. “I am completely heartbroken. Thank you for all your love and kind words. We are reminded again that life is precious, fleeting and to cherish the time we have with the ones we love. I know she is finally at peace with God. I love you BJ.”
Bobbie Jean Carter’s death comes just weeks after the tragic loss of her brother Aaron Carter, who passed away in November 2023 due to accidental drowning while under the influence of Xanax and difluoroethane.
