Cardi B and Offset are currently entangled in a legal dispute as they face a lawsuit for allegedly failing to pay rent on a shared vacation home and leaving the property in a state of disrepair.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the former couple commenced their residence in the Beverly Hills home in 2022 but abruptly vacated the premises in October of the current year without providing prior notice to the landlord.
The landlord claims that Cardi and Offset fell behind on rent and utility payments and departed, leaving behind “significant property damage.” The reported damage includes permanent scratches on tile floors, damaged rugs, curtains, broken furniture, and more.

The total damages attributed to Cardi B and Offset are alleged to be $85,000. Despite attempts by the landlord to resolve the matter, the rappers have reportedly been unresponsive.
This legal predicament emerges just weeks after Cardi B publicly announced the end of her relationship with Offset. In an emotional Instagram Live session, the Bronx rap star revealed her single status and shared her feelings about the breakup, expressing that she had endured mistreatment from Offset.
“I’ve been single for a minute now,” she stated during the Instagram Live. “But I have been afraid to like—not afraid I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”
