Cardi B pushed through illness to deliver a stellar New Year’s Eve performance at The Fontainebleau in South Beach, Miami.
Hours before hitting the stage for Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve, the rapper took to Instagram to candidly share her health struggles.

“I’m literally fighting for my life right now,” Cardi revealed on Instagram. “I am so sick. I don’t understand because when I was in New York, I was going out with sweaters, toes out, everything.”
Despite her chest tightening and three days of battling the illness, Cardi emphasized the significance of her upcoming performance.
“My chest started getting tight. Bro, I’ve been fighting for three days, and I have a huge performance later. Huge performance,” she expressed. “Like, alright, I get that it’s New Year’s, but I have this huge performance, and I’m fighting, fighting.”
Despite the health challenges, Cardi’s determination prevailed, and she graced the stage at The Fontainebleau, delivering a memorable performance for the New Year’s Eve celebration. Notably, LL Cool J and Megan Thee Stallion took the stage in Times Square, while Post Malone entertained audiences in Las Vegas.
