Cardi B has announced her intention to take legal action against the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) following a distressing incident at her home earlier this month, where she claims she was subjected to humiliating treatment, including being forced to remove all her clothes.
During an Instagram Live stream on Monday (March 25), the Grammy-winning rapper recounted the traumatic experience, alleging that law enforcement officers accused her of drug-related activities without recognizing her identity.
“They had all the helicopters in LA. Yo, I was freaking out. They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside. Shit was crazy. It was deadass a movie and whatever, but you already know,” Cardi B revealed.
“I’m about to sue the LAPD. I told them like, ‘Yo, I’m Cardi B. Like do I look like I gotta sell some shit? Like why would I do that? I would never pull no shit like that.’”
The rapper further detailed her encounter with law enforcement, alleging mistreatment by officers whom she claimed were unfamiliar with her identity.

“They didn’t believe me. It was some white cops and they ain’t know who I was. They was really tough on me and everything,” she said, suggesting a potential ulterior motive behind the incident.
Despite the seriousness of her claims, Cardi B transitioned into a lighter tone, laughing and saying, “No seriously,” before expressing gratitude to her fans for their support of her new single.
Cardi B’s latest single, “Enough (Miami),” released earlier this month, was accompanied by an Instagram Live session where she discussed the track’s inspiration and its original title, “Cardi K.”
The song, characterized by menacing synths and trap-inspired drums, showcases Cardi B’s fierce lyrical delivery as she addresses her detractors.
