Cardi B has offered a response to a resurfaced clip in which Kanye West referred to her as an “Illuminati plant.”
Taking to Twitter on Sunday night, the rapper shared an interview from last year in which Kanye praised her.
This comes in light of the controversial comments made by Kanye in an unreleased documentary that has recently leaked online.
In the shared video, which was an interview with Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee, Kanye West expressed admiration for Cardi B, saying: “I was finishing that verse for your girl, you know what I mean? I’ve always believed in her since she was on the show.” Cardi B accompanied the post with a heart emoji.

However, fans had mixed reactions to Cardi’s response. Some questioned the authenticity of the interview, suggesting that it may have been influenced by their friendship and a potential collaboration.
Others speculated that Cardi was in denial regarding Kanye’s past comments.

Kanye West’s accusations against Cardi B originated from the unreleased documentary. “Cardi B is a plant by the Illuminati. She don’t write her raps. She just there to sound as ignorant as possible. She’s literally replaced Nicki Minaj purposely… She thinks it’s a blessing from the universe, it ain’t no blessing,” he claimed.
In other leaked videos, Kanye also expressed frustration with Pusha T and Nas for what he saw as a lack of appreciation for his assistance on their collaborative projects. He cited instances like giving away the track “Cops Shot The Kid” to Nas and “Gonna Love You” to Teyana Taylor’s DAYTONA album.
According to Kanye, these artists did not adequately acknowledge his contributions, leaving him feeling unappreciated and used.
