Last night, the MOBO Awards made a triumphant return to Sheffield, delivering a dazzling evening filled with celebrations and electrifying performances. Hosted by Indiyah Polack and Babatunde Aléshé, the event showcased the best of British and international talent.
Raye, who made waves earlier this year with a record-breaking seven BRIT Award nominations, continued her winning streak by clinching the title of Best Female Act. Central Cee emerged victorious as the Best Male Act, while his collaboration with Dave on “Sprinter” earned them the coveted Song of the Year award.
Notable among the winners was Stormzy, whose visually stunning “Mel Made Me Do It” secured the Video of the Year accolade, directed by KLVDR. Potter Payper’s “Real Back In Style” earned him the Album of the Year award, further solidifying his position in the music scene.
In addition, Little Simz was crowned Best Hip-Hop Act, Soul II Soul received the esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award, and Sugababes were honored with the Impact Award. Dame Jessica Ennis Hill was recognized with the Paving The Way Award for her contributions to sports, while Ghetts received the Pioneer Award for his groundbreaking work in music.
