Royal & Derngate and Northampton Filmhouse are hosting a special charity screening of Paddington in Peru to raise funds for The Lewis Foundation, a local charity that supports adult cancer patients.
The Mayor’s Charity Family Gala screening, led by Northampton Town Council Mayor, Councillor Paul Joyce, will feature an afternoon of festive fun on November 16 at 14:00 GMT.
The event promises a family-friendly atmosphere with a special appearance by the Jolly Christmas Postman, a character from the Royal Theatre’s Christmas show, who will be on hand to greet guests.
Children attending the screening will receive a free Christmas gift and have the chance to drop off letters for Santa with the festive postman.
Paddington in Peru, the third film in the beloved series, follows the adventures of the marmalade-loving bear who moved from Peru to London.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Lewis Foundation, which provides free care packages and gifts to adult cancer patients in Northamptonshire.
This festive screening offers families the opportunity to enjoy a heartwarming film while supporting a worthy cause.
