Chloe Bailey is absolutely glowing in her latest role—and no, it’s not just her newest acting gig! The Chloe x Halle songstress is over the moon about being an aunt to her sister Halle Bailey’s little boy, Halo. During a red-carpet chat with E! News host Justin Sylvester on September 4, Chloe couldn’t contain her excitement about her new title.
“It’s been absolutely incredible,” she gushed about being an aunt while promoting her new show Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist. “That’s my baby boy right there.” Chloe’s joy was palpable as she spoke about her bond with Halo, who made his grand debut earlier this year.
“Halo is the light of my life,” Chloe beamed. “I feel like I birthed him!” Sounds like Chloe is soaking up all the snuggles and playtime with her adorable nephew.
But Chloe isn’t just cheering for baby Halo—she’s also her little sister Halle’s biggest fan. “I will go to bat for her, just like she would go to bat for me,” she said, fiercely protective of her sister.
Halle, 24, welcomed Halo with her beau DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) last year, and it’s been quite the adventure for the Little Mermaid star and her growing family. The couple even whisked baby Halo off to Italy in July for some summer fun. But Halle has been open about the ups and downs of new motherhood, sharing her struggle with severe postpartum depression in an emotional Snapchat video back in April.
“I have severe, severe postpartum,” Halle revealed candidly. “It’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes without feeling overwhelmed.” She also spoke about how becoming a mom has changed her self-image, saying, “I feel like I’m in a whole new body, and I don’t recognize myself.”
Despite these challenges, Halle finds strength in her music. “I feel the most confident when I’m on stage or in the studio,” she shared in an August interview with Chloe. “I feel sexy and fearless.”
Chloe couldn’t agree more, adding, “When I’m making music I love, I feel the most confident.”
Now, Chloe is bringing that confidence to the small screen. She’s set to star in Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist, a thrilling series about a real-life robbery that took place after Muhammad Ali’s epic 1970 comeback fight. The show is set to premiere on Peacock on September 5, with new episodes airing every Thursday through October 10.
