Singer and actress Chloe Bailey, popularly known as Chlöe, has credited her one-year-old nephew, Halo, for inspiring her to embrace her “rich auntie era.”
Speaking to People magazine while promoting her partnership with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, Chlöe shared how her nephew, the son of her sister Halle Bailey and YouTuber DDG, has influenced her perspective and style.
“I have to give credit to Halo because I feel like he’s helping me tap into my rich auntie era,” Chlöe said. “I definitely feel like I’m allowing myself to feel more of a boss and not take everything so seriously, and I have to give credit to him.”
Halo, born in December last year, was introduced to the public by his parents earlier this year. Despite Halle and DDG parting ways as a couple, the two have maintained an amicable relationship as co-parents.
In November, Halle voiced her frustration on social media after Halo appeared on Kai Cenat’s “Mafiathon 2” subathon while in DDG’s care. However, she later deleted her post and apologized, calling her reaction an overstep.
DDG defended Halle, acknowledging her challenges as a new mother. “She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man,” DDG shared in a vlog.
The YouTuber also expressed deep appreciation for Halle, saying, “I wouldn’t have [Halo] if it wasn’t for Halle. And for that reason alone, I have unconditional love and respect for her that nobody can really change.”
