The 2024 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards in Nashville celebrated the best in country music, with Chris Stapleton and Morgan Wallen taking home top honors.
Stapleton earned three awards, including male vocalist of the year, as well as song and single of the year for White Horse.
Meanwhile, Morgan Wallen, who led the nominations, won the coveted entertainer of the year award, marking his triumphant return three years after a suspension by his record label over a racial slur controversy.

Beyoncé’s absence from the nominations sparked debate, given her success with the country hit Texas Hold ‘Em.
Fans had hoped she might make history as the first Black woman shortlisted for album of the year with Cowboy Carter, but the genre’s awards largely stayed within traditional circles.
The ceremony at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena showcased dynamic performances, including Post Malone and Chris Stapleton opening with California Sober and CMA newcomer Shaboozey, featured on Cowboy Carter, captivating audiences.
Lainey Wilson co-hosted the night and won two major awards: female vocalist of the year and music video of the year.
Megan Moroney was named best new artist, while Cody Johnson’s Leather earned album of the year. Brooks & Dunn secured the best vocal duo title.
A heartfelt tribute honored George Strait, the “king of country music,” with a lifetime achievement award. Strait reflected on his career and paid tribute to his late manager, Erv Woolsey.
Notable appearances included Olympic gymnast Simone Biles, who presented the award for female vocalist of the year, adding to the evening’s diverse star power.
Despite the absence of rumored guest Dolly Parton, the CMA Awards delivered a memorable celebration of country music, blending tradition with modern influences and leaving fans eager for what’s next in the genre.
