The rap world is abuzz with speculation following the emergence of what appears to be a diss track from Kendrick Lamar aimed at fellow MCs Drake and J. Cole.
However, the authenticity of the track is being fiercely debated among fans and industry insiders.
On Monday (April 15), audio purported to be the first minute-and-a-half of a diss song by Kendrick Lamar directed at Drake and J. Cole surfaced online.
The leaked snippet features aggressive lines targeting the two artists, with Lamar claiming dominance over his peers and suggesting that his silence alone is enough to prompt apologies.
Almost immediately, doubts arose regarding the legitimacy of the track, with many questioning whether it was generated by artificial intelligence.
Some speculated that the vocals might have been processed through a vocal filter to mimic Lamar’s voice, similar to the technique used in a viral fake track involving Drake and The Weeknd last year.

Rapper Daylyt, who has a history with Kendrick Lamar, took to social media to dismiss the track as fake. DJ Dahi, known for producing several of Lamar’s songs, mentioned “AI diss tracks” in a tweet soon after the clip surfaced, hinting at the possibility of technological manipulation.
The ongoing feud between Lamar, Drake, and Rick Ross has escalated tensions in the rap community. The rivalry began with Kendrick’s verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,” leading to exchanges of shots both on record and on social media between Drake and Ross. The feud has turned personal, with Ross publicly accusing Drake of undergoing cosmetic surgery.
