Eminem has always worn his heart on his sleeve when it comes to his family, and his latest music video is no exception.
In a deeply personal and touching tribute to his daughter, Hailie Jade, the rapper gives fans a glimpse into her special day—her wedding to Evan McClintock this past May.
Released on Oct. 3, the music video for his new song Temporary features a mix of emotional moments, including clips of Hailie as a child and behind-the-scenes footage from her wedding.
One particularly touching scene shows Eminem accompanying his 28-year-old daughter down the aisle, embracing her at the altar.
Later, the rapper—who affectionately calls her “Bean”—shares a private moment with her after seeing her in her wedding dress.
In the video, Hailie gives her dad a gift and a heartfelt card, including a Father’s Day card that is shown at the end of the clip.
The message reads, “Dad, I got this card a few years ago & held onto it & now feels like the perfect time to give you it. Thank you for everything you do & always being there for all of us girls.
You truly are the best dad in the world. Love you forever + 100 million dollars forever & always. [Love] Bean.”
Eminem’s song Temporary is more than just a wedding tribute—it’s a heartfelt message about love, loss, and the reality of life after he’s gone. In the emotional lyrics, the 51-year-old rapper reflects on his role as Hailie’s father and the legacy he hopes to leave behind.
“You will get over me and move on… but don’t you dare shed a tear,” he raps, reminding his daughter of the strength he instilled in her.
The video also reveals a joyful surprise: Hailie Jade is pregnant! In one heartwarming scene, she presents her father with a jersey that reads “#1 Grandpa” alongside a sonogram of her baby, hinting that a new chapter of life is beginning for their family.
Hailie, who co-hosts the Just a Little Shady podcast, has spoken about how deeply her father’s recent music has affected her.
In the Aug. 23 episode, she revealed that Temporary and another song, Somebody Save Me, which imagines an alternate reality where Eminem never got sober and missed important family moments, both made her tear up.
“Watching the video back and listening to the songs, I feel like my parents did such a good job,” Hailie shared, reflecting on her childhood.
“Growing up, I didn’t realize how bad things were, but now as an adult, in hindsight, it’s so scary to think about… I think that’s why I get emotional so much, just thinking that could have happened.”
