Zoe Edge, a silver medalist in boccia at the 1996 Paralympic Games, has embarked on a new journey in music despite living with severe athetoid cerebral palsy.
The 50-year-old from Derbyshire, inspired by ’80s pop icons like Bros and New Kids on the Block, has long dreamed of creating her own music.
Using artificial intelligence (AI), Edge has finally recorded her first song, “You Must Still Believe in Make-Believe,” with Chesterfield producer Lyn Sheppard.
AI technology allowed Edge, who uses a computer-generated voice to communicate, to sing in her own unique style.
Her parents, Mick and Dylis Edge, expressed pride and amazement at her accomplishment.
Zoe’s resilience has driven her from Paralympic success to impactful charity fundraising and now, to fulfilling her musical ambitions, proving that no obstacle can hinder her creative spirit.
