Hip-hop icon Foxy Brown, absent from the music scene for 15 years, recently hinted at a significant return to the industry.
The 45-year-old rapper took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday (November 28) to share a message, promptly deleting it a few hours later.
In the post, Foxy Brown offered brief updates on her life and enthusiastically teased her imminent comeback.
“QUIETLY RAISING MY BEAUTIFUL GIRL, PREPARING FOR THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN MUSIC!” she declared. Swiftly addressing any unwarranted speculation, she added, “HOP OFF MY DICK!”
Foxy Brown’s last studio album dates back to 2001’s “Broken Silence,” with her final full-length release being the 2008 mixtape “Brooklyn’s Don Diva.”
The Grammy nominee’s hiatus from the spotlight has fueled anticipation for her return.
In the same Instagram Story, she confronted persistent rumors surrounding her alleged romantic involvement with Jay-Z during their collaborative heyday in the mid-’90s. Refuting the claims, she stated, “FAKE FAIRYTALE NEWS! I UNDERSTAND THE VOID I’VE LEFT IN MY ABSENCE. BUT THE FOX & HOV LIES ARE PATHETIC AT THIS POINT!”
Foxy Brown and Jay-Z had a close professional relationship in the mid-’90s, collaborating on multiple records. Speculation about a romantic connection between the two has circulated over the years, with fans suggesting that their collaboration hinted at a deeper relationship. Foxy Brown has consistently denied these claims.
The dating rumors resurfaced in 2021 when she posted a throwback picture of herself and Jay-Z embracing each other on social media for his birthday.
In response to the ensuing chatter and questions about Beyoncé’s perspective, Foxy Brown swiftly addressed the situation in a follow-up Story, stating, “And I love B. Hop off my dick.”
