Houston rapper Viper, known by his legal name Lee Carter, faces charges of kidnapping and sexual assault involving a second woman.
This development comes less than two months after his initial arrest for a similar offense.
Court documents reveal that Viper allegedly abducted and detained the second woman in July 2021, subjecting her to sexual abuse. The incident reportedly occurred approximately ten days after the woman was taken captive.
Prosecutors are seeking a $200,000 bond for Viper, citing additional concerns, including a pending Violation of a Protective Order charge related to contact with a different individual while on bail. The rapper is set to appear for arraignment on March 1.
Murray Newman, representing Viper as part of the legal team from Newman & Chapell, PLLC, addressed the situation, highlighting its complexity and unusual circumstances.
“I can tell you that the circumstances surrounding the case are complicated and pretty strange, to be honest,” Newman said. “We are going to begin our investigation into it immediately, but until we have done that, we won’t have an official comment on the case.”
This latest legal entanglement follows Viper’s arrest last month for the kidnapping of a homeless woman, whom he allegedly held captive in his residence for an extended period under deplorable conditions.
Law enforcement officers discovered the victim in an alarming state of malnourishment, weighing around 70 pounds and exhibiting signs of neglect and unsanitary living conditions.
The room where the victim was confined reportedly lacked basic amenities, featuring a makeshift toilet, a soiled mattress, and inadequate provisions for sustenance.
