Jana Kramer and her husband, former soccer player Allan Russell, recently engaged in a lively debate on her Whine Down podcast regarding her potential future acting roles involving intimate scenes.
During the Dec. 8 episode, the couple reflected on a steamy scene from Yellowstone, prompting Allan to express his firm opposition.
“There’s no part of me that will ever, ever, ever allow that, ever,” Allan declared.
“For a man to be that close to you like that? Never.”
Jana, who married the Scotsman in July, challenged his stance, asking how he would react if she booked a role requiring such scenes.
Allan responded with a dramatic comparison, referencing Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee’s notorious temper.
“I will go Tommy Lee on everyone,” he said.
“I will be phoning the producers and threatening them… ‘For the good of your health, you need to change this scene.’”
Despite Jana’s attempt to explain that filming sex scenes is “so uncomfortable” and “not sexy,” Allan remained adamant.
“No, I wouldn’t let you do that scene,” he insisted. “That’s not good for a marriage, that type of role.”
Throughout the conversation, Jana tried to clarify filmmaking misconceptions, including the belief that actors are fully exposed during such scenes.
“You’re never fully naked, though,” she explained. Allan retorted, “You can see everything.”
Concluding their passionate yet humorous exchange, Allan playfully asserted, “You can’t win, so don’t try.”
