In the latest Sister Wives episode, tensions flared between Janelle Brown and Meri Brown as they discussed the ongoing financial complications surrounding Coyote Pass, the family’s unfinished property.
With financial stakes high after their respective breakups with Kody Brown in 2022, both former sister wives face uncertainty regarding their financial futures.
Janelle, feeling the strain of unresolved financial matters, expressed concerns to Meri, warning her to “look out for that knife in the kidneys.”
She worries that Kody and his only remaining wife, Robyn Brown, may not have her or Meri’s best interests in mind, fearing potential issues as assets remain tied up in the Coyote Pass property.
Meri, however, expressed a more trusting perspective, saying, “I don’t think that they’re going to screw us over.”
But Janelle wasn’t convinced, even questioning whether she could trust Meri with their private conversations.
“I still don’t know if I can trust Meri to not go right back and report to Kody,” she admitted, feeling that she must protect herself if things go south.
Meri, meanwhile, emphasized her intention to stay neutral, declining to take sides in the growing division among Kody’s ex-wives.
In her confessional, she stated, “I’m not going to take sides. I’m not going to be in the ex-wives club, and I’m not in the Kody and Robyn club.”
Janelle ultimately left the conversation feeling alone in her concerns, while Meri stood firm in her belief that they each must take their own paths.
Whether this financial tension will drive a deeper wedge in the family remains to be seen.
