Jennifer Lawrence is set to become a mother of two! The Oscar-winning actress is pregnant with her second child, as confirmed by her representative to Vogue on October 20.
The announcement came just hours after she was spotted flaunting her baby bump in a casual white T-shirt and black pants during a dinner outing in Los Angeles.
This exciting news coincides with the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary.
Jennifer and her husband, Cooke Maroney, who tied the knot in Newport, Rhode Island, in October 2019, are already parents to a 2-year-old son named Cy.
While the 34-year-old star has maintained a level of privacy regarding her personal life, she has shared some insights about motherhood.
In 2022, she revealed that Cy is named after the American painter Cy Twombly, a favorite of Cooke, who is an art gallery director.
Reflecting on her journey into motherhood, Jennifer remarked, “It’s so scary to talk about motherhood, only because it’s so different for everybody.”
She described the transformative moment she felt after giving birth, stating, “The morning after I gave birth, I felt like my whole life had started over. Like, now is day one of my life. I just stared.
I was just so in love.” Jennifer also expressed a newfound admiration for all babies, saying, “Now I hear a baby crying in a restaurant and I’m like, Awwww, preciousssss.”
In a 2023 conversation with fellow actress Cameron Diaz for Interview magazine, Jennifer addressed the unique challenges of raising a child in the spotlight.
“Of course, I’ve contemplated having a child that’s being born into a lifestyle that’s different from his friends,” she shared. “The best thing I can do is just make sure he knows he’s loved, that he’s our number one priority, and try to be a good example of kindness.”
