Critics on social media expressed that although Legend put in effort, his rendition took an unexpected turn, with one user humorously commenting, “John Legend made it sound like a negro spiritual.” Another questioned the decision for Legend to join 50 Cent on stage, stating, “Why would John Legend get on stage and sing with 50 Cent like that????”
