Kane Brown is on a roll! The country superstar was honored with the prestigious Country Champion Award at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards on September 26, and he took the opportunity to shine a spotlight on what truly matters in his life: his family.
In a heartfelt acceptance speech, Kane, who shares three children—Kingsley, 4, Kodi, 2, and baby Krewe—with his wife Katelyn Brown, made sure to give them the recognition they deserve. “I want to thank my wife, of course, because I feel I always forget to do that,” he joked. “You’re amazing, I love you. She holds our house down.” He didn’t stop there; he expressed his love for his kids watching from home, saying, “I can’t wait to be home to y’all in a little bit.”
Reflecting on his career, Kane admitted, “I always look down on myself every day, and I never think I should be on this stage.” He encouraged young dreamers in the audience, reminding them that “there are a lot of people that need your help.”
Kane, a relatively new boy dad after welcoming Krewe earlier this year, has always emphasized the significance of fatherhood in his life. As he said in 2022, “They’re my everything.” This commitment to family shines through on his social media, where he recently shared a joyful video of himself dancing with his daughters, captioned, “WE ATE ALL OF OUR DINNER.”
The 30-year-old artist’s win comes a year after Wynonna Judd became the inaugural recipient of the Country Champion Award.
Presented for his passion, service, and groundbreaking contributions to the industry, Kane received the award alongside Miranda Lambert, who received the Country Icon Award.
Hosted by Shania Twain, the evening was filled with celebration as some of country music’s biggest stars were recognized, including Beyoncé for her genre-blending hit “Cowboy Carter” and Zach Bryan, who led the nominations with a staggering 19 nods.
Kacey Musgraves and Morgan Wallen also made waves with ten and nine nominations, respectively.
