The latest collaboration between the artist formerly known as Kanye West and frequent partner Ty Dolla Sign is making waves on the charts, with their album Vultures 1 soaring to the top spot on the Billboard 100.
Released on February 10, the first installment of the Vultures trilogy secured its place at No. 1 with an impressive 148,000 equivalent album units sold in the United States.
This achievement marks West’s 11th No. 1 album and Ty’s first.
Not stopping there, all 16 tracks from the LP have made their debut on the Hot 100 chart, with “Carnival” leading the pack at an impressive No. 3. Following closely behind are “Fuk Sumn” at No. 23 and “Back to Me” at No. 26.
A particularly noteworthy entry is “Talking,” featuring Ye’s 10-year-old daughter North West, debuting at No. 30. This marks North West as one of the youngest acts ever to grace the Hot 100 chart, a milestone noted by Billboard.

Additionally, “Vultures” featuring Lil Durk and Bump J has entered the chart at No. 34, marking the latter’s first appearance on the Hot 100.
Despite the album’s success, there has been some controversy surrounding its reception. Last week, Kanye responded to a call from Taylor Swift fans urging them to boost Beyoncé’s single “Texas Hold ‘Em” to No. 1, potentially blocking any Vultures 1 singles from reaching the top spot.
Kanye emphasized his support for Swift and Beyoncé, acknowledging their influence on the music industry.
However, Vultures 1 faced a brief setback when it was temporarily removed from streaming platforms due to clearance issues related to the track “Good (Don’t Die),” featuring an unauthorized interpolation of Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love.”
