Kanye West, known as Ye, is once again embroiled in legal troubles, this time facing a lawsuit from a former employee of Donda Academy.
Benjamin Deshon Provo, a former security guard at the prestigious institution, has accused West of discriminatory behavior and creating a hostile work environment.
According to a complaint obtained by Page Six, Provo alleges that West subjected Black employees to unfair treatment, including berating them while showing preferential treatment to white staff members.
Provo claims he was fired from his position for refusing to cut his locs, a decision influenced by his Muslim faith.
The lawsuit, independently verified by Complex, alleges that West demanded Provo and other staff members to shave their heads, threatening termination for non-compliance.
Provo asserts that West and his management team forced him to choose between his self-identity and financial stability, causing emotional distress.
Provo claims that white staff members were paid more than their Black counterparts, and alleges that West banned books about Black history at Donda Academy, including works about influential figures such as Malcom X and Martin Luther King Jr.
This lawsuit follows a pattern of legal challenges against West regarding allegations of mistreatment of Black employees.

Earlier this month, former Yeezy and Donda employee Trevor Phillips filed a lawsuit accusing West of discriminatory behavior, including sharing anti-semitic and homophobic sentiments.
Carney R. Shegerian, the lead attorney on Provo’s case, emphasized the importance of holding West accountable for the discrimination alleged in the complaint, asserting that no one is above the law.
In addition to discrimination claims, Provo alleges that he was compelled to engage in physical altercations with paparazzi as part of his security duties.
He is seeking damages for discrimination, hostile work environment, retaliation, labor code violations, and other grievances.
