Kanye West finds himself in the spotlight once again, this time with the LAPD reportedly seeking him in connection with a battery incident that occurred on Tuesday night.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials were informed that the 46-year-old rapper allegedly punched a stranger in the face after the individual purportedly “pushed or grabbed West’s wife, Bianca Censori.”
The altercation reportedly occurred, after which Ye and Censori departed the scene. The alleged victim did not require medical treatment for any injuries sustained.
TMZ further reports that the LAPD intends to reach out to Kanye for his account of the incident and will also interview witnesses.
Earlier on Tuesday, Kanye West and Bianca Censori were spotted at Disneyland in the company of Yung Lean.
Enjoying the attractions during Star Wars Nite, they were also joined by designer Juliet Charlotte and director Aus Taylor.
This incident adds to a series of legal troubles for Kanye West. In January, he was sued by a former fan who claimed that the Grammy-winning artist attacked him two years prior when asked for an autograph.
Additionally, last summer, West faced a lawsuit for allegedly assaulting photographer Nichol Lechmanik and throwing her phone into traffic.
In unrelated legal matters, Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign were embroiled in a lawsuit in February for an unauthorized interpolation of Donna Summer’s voice on the song “Good (Don’t Die)” from the collaborative album “Vultures 1.” Although the track remains visible on the album’s tracklist, it is no longer available for streaming.
Kanye West has previously expressed his views on legal battles, famously stating in a 2013 interview, “I almost borderline like being sued, because it’s the only time where I can be myself. I sit in those depositions and it be hilarious.”
