Kehlani has recently announced the upcoming release of her highly anticipated fourth studio album, “Crash.”
Scheduled to debut on streaming platforms on June 21, the announcement was made alongside the unveiling of the album’s captivating cover art in an Instagram post shared by Kehlani on Wednesday (May 15).
The cover art depicts Kehlani seated atop a shattered and crushed car, adorned in a metallic dress and boots, showcasing a visually striking and symbolic representation of the album’s title, “Crash.”
“I just told Russ I would make an album with him in the club,” Lani said in the clip. “Listen, hold her accountable, because I doubt it,” Russ responds.
The album’s lead single, “After Hours,” was released earlier this month, offering fans a taste of what to expect from Kehlani’s latest musical endeavor.
“Crash” serves as the follow-up to Kehlani’s 2022 project, “Blue Water Road,” which garnered critical acclaim and featured collaborations with notable artists such as Blxst, Justin Bieber, Syd, Jessie Reyez, Ambré, and Thundercat. The album debuted impressively at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart, solidifying Kehlani’s position as a formidable force in the music industry.
While fans eagerly await the arrival of “Crash,” Kehlani’s recent announcement comes as a welcome update for supporters following a challenging period for the singer.
In December 2022, Kehlani reportedly experienced a distressing incident of sexual assault while performing in England. Taking to social media, Kehlani courageously addressed the incident, shedding light on the pervasive issue of sexual assault and expressing her deep distress and disappointment.
