In a recent episode of “GOAT Talk” that premiered on Tuesday, Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, shared their opinions on the greatest producers of all time.
When prompted with the question of the “G.O.A.T. Producer,” 2 Chainz took a moment to contemplate before stating, “I’ma say Kanye.”
Lil Wayne followed up, expressing his choices, “Yeah, I got Mannie Fresh and Kanye West.” The collaboration between Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz resulted in the mid-November release of “Welcome 2 Collegrove,” a sequel to their 2016 project “Collegrove.”
In the HipHopDX review of the album, which received a 3.9/5 rating, Alec Siegel described the project as being sequenced like a blockbuster film, with interludes narrated by 50 Cent.

The album showcased an impressive production lineup featuring Mannie Fresh, DJ Toomp, Juicy J, and Mike Dean, along with notable contributions from New York luminary Havoc.
Siegel noted that the production quality was a standout element, with beats that sparkled throughout the album.
Despite a few exceptions, such as “Crazy Thick” and “Crown Snatcher,” the project demonstrated a clear investment in top-notch production, creating a rich sonic landscape.
The review highlighted Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz’s synergy with soulful production, emphasizing that “Welcome 2 Collegrove” continued this tradition with instrumentals that complemented their distinctive styles.
