The 2024 Grammy Awards not only showcased outstanding musical talent but also provided a platform for heartwarming interactions among industry veterans.
One such moment occurred backstage when Miley Cyrus crossed paths with hip-hop icon Flavor Flav.
Fresh from her electrifying performance of the chart-topping single “Flowers,” Cyrus encountered Flavor Flav backstage at the Crypto.com Arena.
In a lighthearted exchange, Cyrus playfully reminded the Public Enemy rapper of a past mix-up, recalling how he used to mistake her for Gwen Stefani.
“You know it’s me! I made it,” Cyrus quipped, addressing Flavor Flav’s mistaken identity. “You don’t think I’m Gwen Stefani anymore. You used to call me Gwen every time I saw you.”
Flavor Flav humorously admitted to the mistake, prompting Cyrus to assure him that she found the mix-up endearing.

Taking to Twitter to share the delightful moment, Flavor Flav posted a clip of their interaction, affectionately referring to Cyrus as “my girl Gwen Stefani,” before quickly correcting himself. “I mean MILEY CYRUS @MileyCyrus Give My Girl her FLOWERS,” he captioned the video.
Cyrus clinched her first two Grammy awards, with her sensational hit “Flowers” winning both Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Cyrus expressed gratitude for the prestigious awards in her acceptance speech.
“But I really hope that it doesn’t change anything because my life was beautiful yesterday. Not everyone in the world will get a Grammy, but everyone in this world is spectacular,” Cyrus added.
