Milo Ventimiglia, known for his iconic role as Jack Pearson on This Is Us, is ready to step into his most rewarding role yet—dad! The actor’s wife, Jarah Mariano, revealed on Sept. 29 that she’s pregnant with their first child.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting a stunning photo of herself cradling her baby bump while balancing on a surfboard in her native Hawaii. The caption simply read, “Baby on board!”
In a second image, Jarah, 39, can be seen relaxing on the surfboard, sharing a special moment with a mystery hand flashing the signature Hawaiian shaka or “hang loose” sign—perhaps hinting at Milo’s involvement in the serene snapshot.
The couple’s baby news comes just days after they celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Jarah, whose last name shares a fun connection with Milo’s character on Gilmore Girls, took to Instagram to reflect on their big day.
“Last year I married my best friend,” she wrote on Sept. 23, alongside never-before-seen photos from their intimate Hawaiian wedding. “There aren’t enough words that exist to describe all the special qualities that make him who he is.”
She continued with a heartfelt note in Hawaiian, saying, “I like you,” followed by, “my husband Milo.” It’s clear the two share a deep bond, and now, they’re preparing to welcome a new addition to their growing family.
The couple has kept much of their relationship under wraps, including their quiet wedding last year. Milo, 47, opened up earlier this year about their low-key nuptials during an appearance on E! News.
“It was quiet. We had a nice, quiet time. It was beautiful. It was lovely. Some family and close friends were there. It was wonderful,” the Heroes alum shared.
In an earlier interview with Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Milo revealed a sweet connection he and Jarah share from their childhoods.
“She’s from Hawaii but had grown up not too far from me in Orange County,” he said. “We lived in the same neighborhood.”
The actor also joked about the coincidence of marrying a woman with the same last name as his beloved Gilmore Girls character, Jess Mariano.
“Once people started to know her name in connection to mine, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s right, that used to be my name,’” he laughed.
